8:58 am - Busy...Busy...Busy
|
|
This past week has been beyond busy for me (both good and bad busy), and these next couple days are going to be following in the overly busy state. It would figure that the week I’m supposed to be packing and stuff (which already takes forever, because I can't stay on task... blah) I’m also scheduled to work 53 hours... So yeah I don't do much else besides work, and go home and try to pack. Thank God that I have a wonderful mother who is working on my laundry, or I would actually have to move back up to school with dirty laundry and at $2 a load, that would really suck.
On other really happy news, my cousin Jason who was supposed to go over seas (he's a marine), isn't going anymore... Story... so he is in law school right now (2nd year), and he only has one more year to go. And after law school he was planning on applying to the JAG Office (Judge Advocate Generals Office), however, this application process pretty much begins your first year of law school. So the top guy (not sure the correct title) saw my cousin's name on a list that was supposed to go over there, and said hey don't send him... So I now love this man... So instead of going over seas, my cousin is going to spend his 9months of deployment in North Carolina working as a gofer type at the JAG Office. This is awesome because its great experience and he can continue to at least be surrounded by the law, so he won’t loose all of the knowledge that you get from 2 years of law school. So to say the least my whole family is really happy right now.
However, on sadder (I’m not sure if that’s a word, but whatever) news two of my really good friends have both been sent over, and they are brothers for crying out loud. One is in Afghanistan and the other is in Korea. So that really sucks. And my "cousin" he's not really blood related but good family friend is also in Korea. So that’s not so cool with me. Okay I really have to get back to work... Oh yeah they are actually getting busy, what the heck wait till I have left!!! Blah, ok now personal notes.
Crystal: Not so much looking forward to going back to mt. p as in seeing you and all the rest of my friends.
Jackie: miss you, and the above applies to you obviously as well
Abby: Once again I’m impressed by your writing skills, and I also can't wait to see you
K well that’s it Byes

3:29 pm - Summer Time Continues
|
|
So only eight more days until I move back up to school. This means only eight more days of working at the job of nothing, i actually am training my replacement right now which is a joke. How do you train someone to do NOTHING? I don't know but when I find out I’ll be sure to fill you in. My mom and I went shopping the other day for school stuff (I felt like I was back in eighth grade for a moment in time) but it was fun non-the-less. I have saved up all summer and I have finally bought myself a little treat for all my hard work. A TV that's actually larger than a 13'', and a VCR and DVD player (combo) to go with it. It was very exciting day. So I’ve been looking at my room waiting for it to start packing itself, and just like every other year it’s letting me down. So I guess I will have to start to pack it up myself… blah
Wow, so I just read all that and talk about negativity… Okay so being positive and happy… Some of my friends who were away (they went to war because people can’t get along) but happy news is… THEY CAME BACK!!! Safe and sound at that, this meant I was a very happy girl to finally have friends home to hang out with. However, most of them (minus one) are either going back across seas in a few months, or are going to their new orders. But it was really awesome to spend some time with them. On the other hand my friend Kate’s birthday was a couple days ago… and nothing new here, I completely forgot. Thank god my friends are understanding people because I suck at remembering birthdays… Sorry again Kate, hope you had a wonderful birthday!!!! Okay enough rambling for now, if you want to know more I’ll be in Mount Pleasant soon!!

5:05 pm - Summer Life = Boring!!!
|
So i've never actually used this before, but anytime is a good time to start. So this summer has been beyond boring. I've been doing nothing but working, and don't get me wrong $'s good, but so is my sanity!! I'm so excited to be getting back to school in less then two weeks, which i know sounds weird, but i'm really looking forward to my last year at college... And it really looks like Calkins Staff is going to rock this year, but knock on wood that that doesn't change.
And because this summer wasn't boring enough i decided that i needed to dislocate my wrist and sprain my thumb. However, the thumb has healed really nicely. And hopefully buy the time i've gotten to school i will only be wearing the braise for my wrist, when my wrist is hurting... So yea! Note to self for future thought, playing softball with only boys, and you being the only girl, can only lead to injuries.
I'm currently at work watching DVD's (yes watching DVD's not a lot to do at my job except answer the phone, when it actually rings). So i'm more than a little bored right this moment. But on the happy side a couple of my friends who have recently come back into town are getting together tonight, thank god, because i fear i might be going insane.
Okay an who, can't wait to see you all once i get up to school!!!
